Test Strips in the summer?

So, even though I work at a pharmacy and talked to the pharmacists, I haven't gotten a clear answer on this. At what point will heat wreck test strips?

My house is currently only partially air-conditioned, and we got to 100 degrees Fahrenheit today. We only turn on the air condition in my bedroom before we got to bed. The rest of the house does not have AC.

Does this heat wreck test strips, or is it more referring to when you leave it in the glove compartment of your car and it gets +120?

I'm wondering if I should store them in the fridge, or if that's a bad idea for different reasons.
