A1c went from >14% to 6.1% in 3 months!

Got diagnosed in July with Type 1. Machine only went up to 14%. I've watched my sugars and tried to eat right.

However, my daughter was born in September and has had some issues and had 4 surgeries already. Been at the hospital about a month straight eating whatever is here. After yesterday, I decided to "celebrate" my A1c and ate a bag of gummy bears.

Today, my wife and mother-in-law had a come to Jesus meeting with me about my eating habits and how it's going to kill me taking so much insulin. They apparently don't realize I don't really have time to make a keto low carb cauliflower mash at the hospital and this only temporary.

The dagger was my wife told me "If you die, whatever. I get your money."

So my "victory" now has me feeling like shit. Just needed to vent.
