Hi all,
I was just diagnosed to be right in the "sweet spot" zone for pre-diabetes as far as my glucose level goes during my last doctor's visit (~115) and after doing some research on diet restrictions, I'm a big confused. It seems that depending what site I go to or who I ask, I get conflicting advice. One site will say something is fine (like sweet potatoes or beans) and the next site will put those same items on the "bad" list. The alternative to the bad vs good sites will have things listed as "OK, but in moderation" (like pasta or rice) or "OK, but mix it with other foods". Is there a decent and consistent source that someone can recommend for dietary advice? I'm getting thoroughly confused every time I try to check to see what foods are acceptable and which are not.
