Getting insulin in the developed world

Good evening fellow pancreatically impaired people of reddit,

I'm a Canadian citizen about to start an 8 month contract in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. I've worked out that I would need to pack about 60 vials of insulin with me in order to last me the full time. I'm hesitant to try this, because I likely won't have that much space in my carry-on, keeping it cool for the 24 hours of travel will be a challenge and a half, fridge space will likely not be sufficient to store that much insulin once I get there, and if power goes out for a prolonged period of time for whatever reason I'll be left with 6000 units of spoiled insulin. Does anyone know anything about getting insulin in foreign countries with Canadian insurance, insulin availability in Tanzania, or generally how to go about being diabetic in a country with relatively limited healthcare options?
