So, I have been diabetic for at least 2.5 years. My numbers were crappy, 7 fasting, 7s a1c and such.
Then I let it go real bad and didn't control it with my a1c hitting 11.6.
Doc dropped the I word (insulin) and that was a path I just didn't want to go down. So, I said give me 3 months.
Eliminating bread, pasta, rice and potatoes.
3 months after, my a1c was 5.6. Fasting 7.
Added 20 mins elliptical and 20 mins (40 mins a day) strength training 5 times a week
Just got my results for the next round of 3 months, 5.7 a1c and 5.6 fasting. Cholesterol is good, down 40lbs and the doctor is taking me off trajenta to see if I can be scaled back to just metformin for now.
Not looking for kudos, in fact, I don't want any at all.
I just wanted to write this down for me to acknowledge to myself, that I can do it.
