Nonfasting a1c% - is it more accurate to have another fasting test?

Hello all,

I am not diagnosed with diabetes. I had my physical yesterday and had a blood glucose test. I had not been fasting and the results said that my a1c is 5.1% and my estimated average glucose is 100 mg/dl.

Is it better for me to go in and have a fasting glucose test? Is it more accurate?
