I've been a diabetic 26 years. I remember being a teen and getting my A1c and it being anywhere from 11-14. I haven't suffered from many complications of those. I'm sure I will. But I really started taking care of myself. Eating better, completely cutting out soda (diet of course) and when I started seeing my new endo I was at 9.9 and 2 years later I just got my newest A1c....6.7!!!
