Is it possible to reverse pre-diabetes with diet and exercise, even if the person doesn't lose weight? And what is the best diet for someone with the condition? She's not greatly overweight, and has very mild pre-diabetes, but I'd like to help her nip it in the bud so that it doesn't progress. She doesn't have access to regular health care or the internet.
I've searched through pubmed but can't make heads or tails of the research I find there. General web search seems useless for this (everybody's got some kind of diet plan they want to sell me), so I'm hoping this group might be able to answer the question, or maybe at least point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for any advice.
