Hi all. Just wanted to get some advice from the subreddit.
My 4 y/o daughter is currently on the Medtronic 640G with the Guardian 3 sensor. It's worked well over the past year or so, no real problems until recently with lots of air bubbles and the sensor going a bit haywire with readings.
Our NHS Diabetes team have advised to switch to the Dexcom G6 to try and calm her spikes, since the pump has a habit of suspending early and resuming late.
Is there anything I should know when switching from one to the other? Are there certain parts of the body that work better/should be avoided for a child?
Also what's the applicator like? My daughter absolutely hates the Enlite applicator, she says its painful but just gets on with it. It really is a struggle to put on where she's so frightened of it. Once its on though she loves it.
I've looked up previous posts and they're mostly positive but I thought I'd ask!
