Edit: I do not mean giving him insulin. I meant if I should and if, what dosage of metformin.
Ok this is gonna be a long one. Recently my two little cousins have gotten removed from their home by CPS because their mother is on drugs and won’t comply.
The older daughter takes insulin and the younger son is on metofrmin. This got me thinking that all of this is genetic.
My grandmother has diabetes, my older sister has PCOS, I have pre-diabetes are suspected PCOS but I need to see an endo. OBGYN wasn’t sure. Both children see an endo and the son is on metformin but his mother won’t comply and his diabetes is really bad and we don’t know what dosage to give him. No one knows what dosage he is on. Do any of you have any idea? And on a side note, now that we’re responsible for him, would I be wrong to put him on a keto diet?? His blood sugar is through the roof and a1c. He’d heading towards a diabetic crisis if we don’t get his medication soon.
If we don’t get anything today we’ll be able to have his medical passport and get his prescription, but what should I do for tonight??
