Moving to the Netherlands

Hello there!

Soon my wife and I (both T1s, yes, for real) will be moving to the Netherlands (coming from Belgium), and we're wondering how it all works, since the systems are so different.

In Belgium most, if not all, with regards to Diabetes-care is regulated by the government, as well as agreements with manufacturers (think pumps, CGMs, ...). You pay a monthly contribution for insurance and aside from a fee in consultation costs, nothing else comes out of your own pocket.

If you're a Dutchie and/or have tips on how to make the transition, I'm all ears.

My wife uses a Freestyle Libre, Lantus and Novorapid.
I use Novorapid (glass reservoir to fill up my pump), Insulin pump, CGM (Dexcom). I managed to reach an Hba1C of 5.8 last time, but I do experience hypoglycemia, which I am unaware of while sleeping, unless very severe.

So, how would this work out in the Netherlands? As far as I understand it, all of these would be covered by basic insurance, albeit that we have to pay a deductible (which is per person, so my wife and I will each have our own deductible, right?)

Thanks in advance for the help/tips!
