Ok so long time lurker on Reddit along with occasional advice giver and now first time poster. I find myself in need of some advice. I've been dealing with a plethora of health issues over the past 3 years. I don't really want to get into all of that in this post and detract away from the issue that I'm facing. But long story short one of the treatments I was on for a short time has destroyed my pancreas. As a newly diagnosed type 1 (ish...?) diabetic I've been struggling to control my blood sugar level (in part because I'm on steroids right now, weaning off them thank god). One of the things I was looking into though was getting an insulin pump. I think overall it will greatly simplify living with diabetes. However, I'm also a triathlete and live a very active lifestyle. I usually run 2-3 half Ironman's, several half marathons and usually a handful of shorter local races. I was wondering if there were other athletes out there who had experience with different types of insulin pumps? Which ones have worked well? Any drawback or downsides to certain pumps? It doesn't seem like there are really that many choices out there for pumps in the first place so my options are already pretty limited. I really appreciate any advice from the community. Thanks guys!
Edit 1: I'm currently using the Freestyle Libre CGM and insulin pens
