I see a ton of people with a whole ton of supplies and insulin to last for months. With my insurance, I can only get a 30 day supply at a time (but actually only a 25 day supply because of the units and bottle size) and the earliest I can refill it is only one or 2 days before the 25 day period. Sometimes the insulin given isn't even enough to last because how much I take can vary. This is something ive spoken with my doctor about but she keeps prescribing with very little leeway. Anyway, this leaves me refilling when I am close to out, getting a notification from the pharmacy that it won't be ready for a few days (either due to insurance coverage or pharmacy incompetence), and ultimately ending up making multiple phone calls or just showing up and waiting until they are able to hand it to me because I obviously I don't have a choice to go without. Does anyone else have this problem? How can I set it up so I'm not frantically running to the pharmacy every 25 days? I would just like a couple day leeway so it's not a constant stress.
