Injection sites becoming zits

I’ve never had this problem before, but all of the sudden my injection sites, especially on my legs are healing into zits that I then pick at. My upper thighs where I inject a lot are becoming a war zone! Any thoughts on how to prevent this?

Of course now that I’m typing it out I am realizing I never use an alcohol pad anymore but I stopped thaT before I started getting zits. I’ll try it tho😂
