Weird question. In the last 6 months I've lost 50lbs give or take after being diagnosed with IR and being told I was at risk of becoming T2. My insulin has gotten happier and gone from 29.6 to 18.6 (still IR but I'm happy it's gone down). However, my glucose has gone from 82 to 93. At one point my insulin was 90, which my old endocrinologist wasn't concerned about, but my next endocrinologist was super concerned about it. I'm going to be seeing a third endocrinologist. I'm seeing a third one because the second one was super transphobic, and I'm ftm, so the head of the clinic is switching me to somebody else.
When I start seeing the third endocrinologist I'll definitely ask him about this, but I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar experience. Why would my fasting glucose go up while my insulin has gone down? Why would my glucose go up if I've lost the weight and followed the correct diet? Has anyone here had similar experiences?
