You all had a part to play. HbA1c = 6

Diagnosed a year ago, 21/08/2019, and A1c was 15.3

Smashed it to 6.3 in 12 weeks. That's the easy bit.

Just been to see my Endo & CDE this morning. A1c is 6. I started on the Discord server where I learnt so very much; good tips & tricks and some pit falls to avoid. Recently found Reddit, late to the party i know, and your stories, your ideas & the support you show each other, all has contributed to the last year.

I'm (43m), well paid, well supported by family with access to world class technologies and this is still hard, unforgiving work.

I'm extremely proud of the effort I've put in over 12months but let me keep that in perspective. If this were a computer game then all I've done is install the game and get through basic training. We haven't even started the content and truth be told the End Game is becoming truly terrifying to me.

This will get difficult. I know it will. So to all those who are doing it tough. To those who at their best will have it harder than me, Breath.

Take a moment to breath in, then breath out. A big breath. Sure, measure success, but please also recognise effort. You expect the best of yourself and have a duty to expect the best of your team and make no apologies for that.

I was going to say "Here's to 50 repeats of these last 12 months" but....... maybe not. Rather I'll say "Be excellent to everybody, including yourself."
