Hi there,
I thought I was Type 2 last month due to my weight, but some antibody tests have come back and I'm negative for GAD but positive for islet cell antibodies.
I asked the GP (family physician in other countries I guess) if this was therefore a confirmed Type 1 diagnosis, but they didn't sound too sure/unwilling to say until I see the endocrinologist next week. I think they're going to run a c-peptide too.
My question is - does having 1 positive antibody result mean that I definitely can't be Type 2?
If it helps, I am 20M.
