So I've been a type 1 since 2006, and I applied for the DTC back in December. My Endo was very on board, and helped me with all the numbers so I hit 14 hours per week.
Last week I finally heard back from the CRA that I was denied for the claim, based on the 14 hours criteria. But the paperwork I have that was submitted clearly says that I meet it.
Has anyone else applied and been denied like this? It seems crazy unfair, and I don't really get it. Now I have to meet with my Endo and see if there's anything we can do to bump up the hours above 14.
If anybody's been through a denial on the DTC, and managed to reapply successfully, I'd really appreciate some tips and/or guidance on what to do.
