I haven't "messed up" and eaten something that contained carbs in it for 3 years since finding out I was Type 2, I am SO careful and I still test constantly. Today I had a drink that I could have sworn was sugar free, but it spiked my blood glucose to 210. I panicked, jumped up and down to exercise a bunch, and it took 2 hours to come down to 96. What is that going to do to my A1C? What damage have I done to my body? I know that this might sound silly to many people, but I've been in such good control and to see 200+ on my meter repeatedly was literally terrifying. Thanks so much to anyone who answers. I appreciate it so much.
