When I started prednisone at 30mg I had a CMP done with a non-fasting blood sugar of ~250. I haven't had it tested again (doctor hasn't ordered one anyway.) I have had a lot of thirst and drymouth, but I know that prednisone can cause high blood sugar.
Do I need to do anything besides watch my sugar? Should I be worried? My doctor and the nurses do not seem overly concerned about any of these things.
I was not diabetic as far as I know before taking prednisone.
