I've been making a few changes over the last few months, I've gone on a no carb diet and starting exercising regularly, it's been fantastic so far but I find my sugars go low often while at the gym. I'm reading some advice on how to avoid that but I did begin to wonder if there is such a thing as a running shirt with an obvious label.
I hate wearing a medical bracelet/necklace especially while running as I can feel it and it consciously bothers me while I'm trying to focus on exercising.
I'm imagining a simple breathable fabric with "Type 1 Diabetic" in big red letters on a white background. It's not really necessary but it brings me peace of mind when I run. It also makes me feel like people won't give me odd looks when I place my dextrose tablets, cgm reader, bm kit and a number of other emergency supplies by the running machine. People will be able to read the front/back of my shirt and put two and two together.
Does a site for shirts like this exist? Have you personally tried it? Would you recommend it after having tried it?
Does this idea come across as obnoxious? I'm a bit of a safety freak and I try to run indoors around trained staff so I'm already somewhat secure when I exercise. I hate to think people will look at me and groan but I'd rather be as safe than sorry.
Thanks in advance for any responses.
