I was diagnosed back in February with an A1c of 13.5%. Just got my first A1c result since my diagnosis and it was 5.8%! I was expecting it to be lower because I've been pretty good with my insulin but wasn't expecting it to be in the 5s. It was such a good birthday gift surprise.
