I am wondering if this is only me or others also experienced this phenomenon. I had a rapid rise rate alert on my CGM. I had pretty immediate muscle aches almost like I have the flu. It feels like a bunch of lactic acid was dumped into my muscles and they start aching like crazy. I also have a strange metallic smell. This happened more frequently when I had worse control. Bringing my blood sugar down immediately relieves the problem.
Has anyone else experience this? What in the world is going on?
