I am 42 years old, 6'2" at 170 lbs. My diet is reasonably good, though I do eat rice and bread sometimes, no sweets hardly ever.
Recently I had some numbness in my toes on both feet sometimes and after reading online, realized it might be a sign of diabetes. My Dad has type 2, and was diagnosed at age 67.
Bought a good BG test meter and started doing daily fasting, first thing in the morning and 2 hours after meals.
So far my fasting ranges from 110-115 and my 2 hour ranges from 91 - 144. 144 only happened once after a big bowl of rice, as I was trying to see what a ton of carbs would do.
The plan on eventually going to the doctor, but not having insurance or a steady job has put that in hold.
What do you all think about my numbers and how concerned should I be at this point?
