Hey guys! A question to anyone using silhouette infusion sets. They require you to give 0.7 to fill in the cannula right? does any of this insulin actually get into the body, or is it only to fill in the cannula?
I had some situations on sure-t and my previous 3 insulin pumps over the past decade or so, where I had suspiciously low sugars after changing the insulin set or the insulin container, maybe 8 in total, but now I'm particularly scared of any additional doses of insulin getting into my body.
I need to change to them due to an allergic reaction to metal, but I'm still hesitant because of the 0.7 I would need to give to fill in the cannula. I would prefer to get some insight from people that actually use them. So from experience, did anyone had lower sugars levels after changing their silhouette infusion set? or is there really no risk/difference ?
